The Bhagwat Geeta is a doctrine of universal truth. Its message is universal, inspirational, and non-sectarian. The main principal of Bhagwat Geeta is "Do your duty as a service to the Lord and humanity and see God alone in everything in a spiritual frame of mind. One must learn to give up lust, anger, greed, and establish mastery over the six senses (hearing, touch, sight, taste, smell, and mind) by the purified intellect. One should always remember that all works are done by the energy of nature and that he or she is not the doer but only an instrument."

Dialogues of Angad with King Ravana in Katala Ramlila (Hindi) (720p HD)
Angad was the son of Vali and Tara and the nephew of Sugriva. Bali during the time of his death requested Sugriv to take care of his child. Sugriv consecrated Angad as the prince of Kiskindhya.
In his efforts to seek a peaceful solution, Ram sent several messengers to Ravana; Angad was one of them. Angad described Ravan what was Ram`s wish and revealed that if he released Sita the war could possibly be prevented. He tried by every method to influence Ravan, but Ravan was firm at his decision to encounter a war rather than returning Sita calmly.
At one stage, Angada planted his foot firmly on the ground and threw a challenge that if any person in Ravana's court uprooted his foot, Ram would lose the battle and return back with out Sita. All the rakshasa commanders of Ravana's army and even his son Indrajit tried to lift Angada's leg but none succeeded.
Infuriated Ravana slowly walked towards Angada's planted foot and just as he was about to hold Angada's leg to attempt the challenge, Angada moved away and Ravana fell down. Angada explained that the challenge was for Ravana's commanders and not for Ravana.
Angada hit the ground with both his hands with such tremendous force that it caused mild tremors on the earth. Ravana fell on the ground and his crowns rolled off his head. Ravana tried to pick up his crowns but before he could touch them, Angada picked four of them up and hurled them in the direction of Rama.
Hanuman grabbed the flying crowns and put them in front of Ram. Ravan directed his men to trap and kill Angad but he laughed loudly and fled. In the great war of Ramyana, Angad killed Ravan`s son Devantak.

Secret of Happiness
Happiness depends to some extent upon external conditions but chiefly upon mental attitudes.
Conditions are neither good nor bad; they are always neutral, seeming to be either depressing or encouraging because of the sad or bright attitude of the mind of the individual concerned with them.
If you think you have some big problem, look at people who have a greater problem. Suddenly, you will get a confidence that your problem is much smaller, and you can manage it.
Look at your own life. In the past, you had many problems. They have all come and gone. Know that even this will go and you do have the energy and power to overcome it.
You are always looking for solutions from someone. You forget that if you turn our mind inward, you can get some idea, some solution.
Change your thoughts if you wish to change your circumstances. Since you alone are responsible for your thoughts, only you can change them. Therefore, start now to think only those thoughts that will bring you health and happiness.
Successful people do not blame others for troubles that can usually be traced to their own actions and lack of understanding. They know that no one has any power to add to their happiness or detract from it unless they themselves are so weak that they allow the adverse thoughts and wicked actions of others to affect them.
The more you improve yourself, the more you will elevate others around you. The self-improving man is the increasingly happy man.
Avoid a negative approach to life. One may find some fault in even the greatest masterpieces of art, music, and literature. But isn’t it better to enjoy their charm and glory.
The ever new joy of God inherent in the soul is indestructible. You are an image of God; you should behave like a god. Resurrect yourself from the littleness of life, the little things that disturb you.
You have all creative ability, and you should work hard until your dreams are materialized.
You should keep busy doing constructive things for your own self-improvement and for the benefit of others.
Happiness lies in making others happy. Some people think only of their own family but these are the very persons who do not become happy. To live for self is the source of all misery.
When you came into this world, you cried and everyone else smiled. You should so live your life that when you leave, everyone else will cry but you will be smiling.
The deeper you meditate and the more willingly you serve, the happier you will be.
Learn to carry all the conditions of happiness within yourself by meditating and attuning your realization to which is God. Your happiness should never be subject to any outside influence. Whatever your environment is, do not allow your inner peace to be touched by it.
You can keep that divine inner peace intact despite all painful thrusts of outer circumstance.
Be silent and calm every night and again in the morning before starting the day’s activity.
The more you depend upon conditions outside yourself for happiness, the less happiness you will experience.
Night and day I am in a state of joy. That joy is God. To know Him is to perform the funeral rites for all your sorrows. He does not require you to be stoic and morose.
Without being happy you will not even be able to find Him. The happier you are, the greater will be your attachment with Him. Those who know Him are always happy, because God is joy itself.
I form new habits of thinking by seeing the good everywhere, and by beholding all things as the perfect idea of God made manifest.
I will make up my mind to be happy within myself right now, where I am today.

Significance of Janmashtami ~ Pandit Amarchand (Hindi) (720p HD)
Watch out beautiful explanation of Janmashtami by Pandit Amarchand (Shree Devi Temple, Hisar).
Janmashtami or the birthday of Lord Krishna has a huge spiritual significance in Hinduism. It is believed that lord Vishnu reincarnated in the form of lord Krishna on the auspicious day of Janmashtami. Lord Krishna was born in the darkness of night, inside a cell of a jail where His parents were locked up by Cruel King Kansa. It is said that at the moment of his birth, all the guards slept off, the chains broke and the barred doors gently flew open.
Krishna Janmashtmi or Gokulashtami is a popular festival of India and celebrated among Hindus with a great passion. Krishna Janmashtmi, Krishna Ashtami or Gokulashtami is a popular festival of India and celebrated among Hindus with a great zeal.
Janamashtmi has a story behind its origin and celebration. There was a king of Mathura named Kansa who was a wicked king. He had sister Devaki whose husband was Vasudeva. There was a prediction that Sri Krishna will born from Devaki and he would kill Kansa. But the way this prediction was made, there will be the eighth avatar of lord vishnu who would kill Kansa. So, being an eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu, he was born in the middle of the night. Finally, Sri Krishna killed the wicked king, Kansa.
Krishna Janamashtmi is the day, when prayers and bhajans are sung by the people. Holy mantras are chanted out by the people on this day. People offer their prayers to Sri Krishna.
The temples of Lord Krishna are decorated, and bhajans and kirtans are sung or played on Janmashtami’s night. At midnight, devotees gather around for devotional songs, dance and exchange gifts. The idol of the Baal Gopal or Little Krishna is placed in a cradle as a symbol of his birth. Some clothe and decorate the deity of Krishna while others string enormous flower garlands and other decorations for the temple. At midnight, the statue of infant Krishna is bathed and placed in a cradle, which is rocked, amidst the blowing of conch shells and the ringing of bells.
The main significance of this festival lies in encouraging the goodwill and discouraging the bad will. We are bound with so many shackles of anger, greed, temptations, attachments and pain. But as the Lord takes birth, every bit of the darkness fades away and we are released from all the chains of the worldly pleasures.
